I found myself battling him.
His concrete hands met mine
and he pushed with all his might.
No contest for this Samson
I stumbled and nearly fell
but he caught me.
Our eyes locked.
He placed me back on my feet,
raised his hands, palms toward me-
waited.
I pushed, muscles strained and face red
while he held me back.
I stopped
and he turned to walk away;
but looked back over his shoulder
as if to say I should do better.
He would come back.
I paused,
tapped his shoulder,
and he turned around.
I lifted my hands, palms toward him-
waited.
He placed his rough hands on mine.
I pushed.
